Terms & refunds

The short version: Loci is sold on the Mac App Store, Apple's standard license applies, and refunds go through Apple.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

1. Where Loci is sold

Loci is developed and supported by Digital Karbs and sold exclusively on the Mac App Store. Apple processes the purchase, and your use of Loci is licensed under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

2. Updates

Loci is a one-time purchase. Updates are delivered through the Mac App Store.

3. Your content and third-party services

Your App Store listings remain yours. Loci acts on your behalf using your own App Store Connect API key and, if you choose, your own AI provider key. You're responsible for reviewing translations before you push them, and for complying with Apple's and your AI provider's terms. AI and machine translation can make mistakes.

4. Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If something isn't working, email contact@karbs.dev, we're happy to help.

5. Warranty and liability

Loci is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Digital Karbs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue from App Store listings, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Loci. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in your country.
